Education:

He obtained his law degree from the School of Law and Political Science of the University of Panama (1990). Subsequently, he entered the Program of Instruction for Lawyers at Harvard Law School, Harvard University (2001).

Experience:

He was founder and partner of Sucre, Briceño & Co. In the public sector, he was Director of Legal Consulting for the Ministry of Government and Justice in 1991 and 1999. In 2001, he was designated Vice Minister in charge of the Ministry of Government and Justice. In 2002, the Executive Organ declared him suitable to occupy the position of Magistrate of the Supreme Court of Justice. He has been recognized by the prestigious publication Chambers & Partners, as a leader lawyer in Banking and Financial Law. He is a Permanent Observer of the Group of 100, Center for Innovation, Development and Legal Research, which is sponsored by the Spanish firm Garrigues and the Instituto Tecnológico de Monterrey. Member of the Board of Directors of Mi Banco, S.A. (2005), President of the Board of Directors of Mi Banco, S.A. (2008-2011), Board of Directors of GS Recolation Panamá, S.A., Board of Directors of Grupo Financiero Rapi Préstamos, S.A., President of the Board of Directors of Grupo Financiero, S.A., Director of the Superintendencia de Seguros y Reasegurados de Panamá, Director of the Fundación Pro Biblioteca Nacional and is Honorary Consul of New Zealand in Panama.
